Tickets and Entry

Yes. All attendees entering the event grounds are required to hold a valid ticket.

Tickets may be available at the gate; however, we strongly encourage purchasing tickets online prior to arrival to avoid disappointment.

Yes- Children over the age of 6 are required to have a purchased ticket to enter the event.

In short no. As you can appreciate, we are a non-for-profit event so please ensure you select your tickets carefully.

Possibly. Sometimes life throws us some unfortunate emergency event that impacts our plans. If this is you, please submit your request in writing to roberiverrodeo@gmail.com and a member of the committee will contact you. We assess circumstances on a case-by-case basis. Please note, evidence may be requested

Your safety is important to us. If you purchase an adult ticket, we need to identify your mode of transport to the event including for your stay in the campgrounds for security & emergency reasons. We have made these changes this year based on your feedback to bolster our security presence.
CAMPING FAQ

Yes! Camping is included in your event ticket at no additional cost.

No. Camping operates on a first in, best dressed basis. Simply find a suitable area for you and your group upon arrival.

No. Camping is free for ticket holders.

No. There are no powered sites available. Campers must be fully self-sufficient.

Toilets and showers will be available on site for all campers. Please help us keep them working all weekend by only flushing the three P's: pee, poo and paper!
Remember: If you clog it, everyone loses it! Let's keep the toilets flushing and the showers running for all campers to enjoy.

Campfires are permitted in approved fire pits, subject to DFES restrictions and weather conditions. Further information will be provided closer to the event.

Yes, however please be considerate of neighbouring campers and comply with any quiet time requirements.

Unfortunately, we are a closed community. If you do not wish to camp or are unable to stay with a Pannawonica resident in town then our closest options are the Fortescue Roadhouse (1hr from town & limited) or Karratha/Onslow (2hrs from town)

The Robe River Rodeo & Campdraft operates under a strict "Leave No Trace" principle. We ask all patrons to leave their campsite as they found it and ensure no rubbish is left behind.
Large rubbish bins are located next to the toilet blocks throughout the campground. Please place all rubbish in these bins during your stay. If bins are full or you have excess waste, we ask that you take it home with you.
Competitors

All competitor nominations for the Robe River Rodeo & Campdraft are managed through the relevant competition platforms.
Rodeo competitors must nominate via the ABCRA iCompete platform, with an active ABCRA membership required to enter events.
Campdraft competitors will nominate through the designated campdraft platform, with further details released closer to the event.
Nomination opening dates will be announced on our website and social media channels. Please note that all entries must be completed through the relevant online platform, and no nominations will be accepted directly by the committee.

No. Competitors are allocated a designated camping area located to the west of the grounds. This area has been set aside to accommodate competitors and their horses, ensuring easy access to the competition areas.
General camping is reserved for patrons and spectators. We ask all attendees to camp in their allocated areas to assist with safety, traffic management and event operations.
Pannawonica

We have the following services available to you during your visit: 24hr Service Station | Cafe | Tavern | Small Shop | Sonic Medical Centre - Appointments required. Nearest town for additional supplies are Onslow and Karratha.

No. Most visitors drive, or car pull. The bus services we have that depart Karratha are for mine workers only.
Vehicles Access

For the safety of all patrons, there is no vehicle movement within campgrounds between 7:00 pm and 7:00 am.

If you intend to leave during restricted hours, please park in the designated public parking areas outside the campground.

No. Motorbikes, buggies, e-scooters and other recreational motorised vehicles are prohibited on event grounds.
